Well it's Monday already - where do the weekends go to ? On Saturday we did the normal shopping , washing , ironing, cleaning out Daphne and Poops ( the guinea pigs) and acted as taxi drivers for the kids and their activities. I also fixed dad's lap top. Computers are infuriating things when they break down especially when you don't have a clue on how to fix them and intermittent problems are even worse. Any way some how I managed to sort it.
On Sunday we had been invited round to see our friends Liz and Tom with their kids Carl & Beth and what a great time we had ! We last saw them all back in October when funnily enough we were all holidaying in Florida -although in different places and over a slightly different 2 week time span we managed to meet up a couple of times .So this was the " re match".
We had a very tasty lunch on a beautifully decorated table complete with USA napkins and "tooters". Tom put his " conductor skills" into practice and decided that the kids would blow their tooters on his command and the adults had to "Name that tune!".
It was hysterical as the kids were laughing, dribbling and sucking in between blows and I'm not quite sure what the tune was in the end - but it didn't sound anything like what it should have done!!
Sam & Georgie then went on to the big trampoline with Beth in the garden and didn't stop bouncing until late into the evening. The weather had been glorious - they loved it.
After a "few drinks" Liz decided that it was our turn on the trampoline and what a turn she certainly gave the neighbours !! Liz was wearing a long flowing silky skirt which when she decided to do her " stand up sit down bounce double backflip" with added legs akimbo had us all screaming with laughter! I'm only sorry that I didn't capture it on camera.
I then had a go but was no where near as daring as Liz but enjoyed the experience all the same - I'm glad that I stayed on the thing and didn't end up in the neighbours garden over the fence - Liz very kindly has posted a "post bounce" photo of me on her blog which is absolutely horrific- I look like something from Psycho with demonic sideways eyes and a grimace - very attractive !
( Thanks Liz!x)
Today I have had a day off ( back to work tomorrow) so went down to the gym, rowed 2000m and ran for just under 3miles, cycled about 5 miles then walked home and ate half a packet of Haribous that I found in the fridge along with the remaining bag of bread sticks with added rosemary left over from Christmas !
On my way home I got stopped by " Nerd man"wearing a shirt, tie and tank top asking for directions . At first when he pulled over I had a sudden feeling of " He's going to show me something rather inappropriate hidden under the map book sitting on his crotch!" At this point I had already seen a large stick by the side of the road near to where he had parked and thought "Right, this will really rattle his A-Z if he does".
I gave Nerd man very detailed directions which confused him completely- so I had to repeat them all again - at one point I thought right move over and I'll drive you there myself as he wasn't listening and he obviously couldn't read a map either !
He eventually seemed to understand what I was telling him and went on his way - whether he got there or not will be one of life's mysteries.

hahahahaha! Glad nerdman didn't show you something under that map of his.
The trampoline sounds like fun! It would take more than 'a few drinks' for me to get on one of those things, though... :)
