Before I put it into the washing machine I checked the pockets as per normal. There have been so many times that I have missed a tissue or something else which has then disintegrated over the other clothes so that I have had to repeat the wash again.
To my amazement in the space of a week she seems to have turned into a Magpie.In her pocket she had the following;
1. One stone - well half a stone to be precise - quite attractive and of obvious great value.
2. A blue plastic clothes peg - very handy and something a good girl guide should not be with out - following the motto "Be prepared".
3. One Giraffe pencil sharpener - with no pencil apparant.
4. 2 Tiny ball bearing type objects - possibly broken off from a chain similar to that on a bath room plug.
5. A piece of a broken eraser
6. A 20 pence piece ( which I have since put in her money box)
7. One sweety wrapper which has since gone in the bin
8. One Lipsalve covered in fluff
I'm not quite sure why she selected these items to collect but find it quite funny.
I am a bit of a hoarder and love collecting things like shells and pretty pebbles from the beach and when ever I see a bright shiny new conker I just have to pick it up!. My Mum tells a story of her having to remove stones and worms from my coat pockets as a child and often reminds me of how she caught me feeding my younger sister mud pies when playing " School dinners" ( Sorry Liz X).
I don't think I have really changed that much into adulthood - nothing to do with mud pies but I looked in my " work bag" the other day and it was literally full of junk. It really needs a good sort out as I'm carrying around half a ton of " I don't know what". When the kids were younger I often found remnants of toast crusts, toy cars, building bricks and Georgie's dummy lovingly placed in there.
Now I'm quite a tidy person on the whole and absolutely hate mess but actually quite like "ordered clutter" - I always keep cards, all of the kids creations and all sorts of sentimental things including gift tags, all of my diaries and calendars from past years -I've even got the kids teeth ( having bought them back from the fairies!!) and also hair from their first hair cuts!!
I know my survey said that I am only 40% weird - perhaps this was a real under statement now my secret is out!
Am I really so odd or is there any one out there odder than me with an even stranger collection ?

Well we have quite a few similarities so we are obviously both bonkers!!
I love collecting things, beach glass, beach pebbles with holes in them, shiney stones. I collect conkers and have baskets full on the in the living room, until they get dried up and look old. You are much tidyer than me, but I bet you work at it harder than me!!I have kept everything to do with the kids as well, from the belly button clip, to the complete record of every pregnancy, scan picture, cards, hair clips, haircuts, teeth (another buy back) pictures they have done, all their school books, I have made an attempt to rationalise them by having memory boxes.
Anyway, I thank you for visiting my blog and want you to know I have tagged you!! Have a quick look and you will find the middle name tag game!!
Love Ya

Liz - OMG we are the same ! I wasn't going to mention the belly button clip by I do have those too and the bracelets and the scan pictures - I've got their school books and birthday cards and even my own first birthday and christening cards!) !!!!!! My memory box is a "suitcase" and growing.
Another strange thing I am admitting to is "I write on banana's!" - usually the kids names with love hearts and kisses on - for school X
Thank you for the "Tag" Is it something I can keep ??? xx
I don't collect much except the few sentimental kid things...I think because I come from a family of hoarders and I could never stand the clutter; plus my house is small with very little storage and I hate to dust!
As for the banana thing - I am cracking up because at my first nursing job if you left your banana out you were sure to find it later with all kinds of suggestive phallic references written on it in Sharpie. You learned fast to either not bring a banana to work or hide it well!
