Back to the real world

Even after my three hours sleep ( having finished work very late in the early hours of this morning)I feel back to my old self! (just slightly more crabby looking with bigger eye bags!)

I hate feeling glum - it doesn't happen very often but sometimes you just have to get your witterings out of your system and the blog is an excellent way of doing that. Thank you for your kind comments yesterday- it's very nice to have such lovely friends!

Today Malc had his appointment with the haematologist - the positive news is that his blood count has not got any worse so fingers crossed. He has to have another test much later in the year and then go back again to see if there is any change so in the mean while it is business as usual unless we hear otherwise ( I was going to say normal - but that is not a word that really applies to our house hold very much!)

We've had a really nice day today - very quiet and homely. We all snuggled up on the warm sofa in front of a kids DVD and drank tea and ate Georgie's homemade butterfly cakes which were lovely. Then we took the kids over to the park on their bikes, a quick shop at Tesco where we bumped into Mum , Auntie Maggie and Mad Auntie Sheila for a brief chat and back home for more tea and more cake !

As the weather has been so nice and Spring appears to have sprung - we put Daphne and Poops the guinea pigs out in the garden for a run around which they loved.

Work again tomorrow but then I'm off for a few days which I am looking forward to - I have loads to catch up on around the house and want to try and do something nice with the kids before they have to go back to school.

This evening I have been busy helping Georgina - she wanted me to photocopy her home made Valentines card 15 times for her "list of boyfriends". I've managed to negotiate it down to 5 and so she has spent the last half an hour putting them in some sort of pecking order.

Oh to be young again !

Glad you're feeling better... Next step is to get some rest!!!

Snuggling together while watching a kids' DVD sounds heavenly.

I am so glad that the old boy has nothing to report long may it stay that way!! I thought you were trying to get out of your holiday obligations!!! I was back at work today after an extra day off this week. I really fancy doing some more pots, I love Beths cup and I think over time we could have a whole set of them, I am sure we are destined to be in business one day!! I will pop in and see you at work in the morning, plenty of meeting in your neck of the woods tomorrow!!

I'm relieved to hear about the test results...I'll keep you in my thoughts!

I wish I were snuggling my kids on the couch - I'm a 2 hour plane ride away so I won't see them till Saturday.

I am picturing two guinea pigs running around in a yard right now. It's a serene thought.

Oh, I blogrolled you! =)

Debs, Just read your profile in depth and I am concerned that you like to crush leaves and hedgehogs.#Why would you be so mean and horrible?? I am very disappointed in you.
