No nothing to do with my post from yesterday ! The Boss has kept a low profile and survived the day with his tackle in tact.
Tonight my beloved husband has gone out for the evening. I was invited along for a night out on the town and in fact he begged me to go with him. How romantic I hear you cry - but alas no.
This was no romantic venue, the place where you gaze lovingly into each others eyes - no - I was invited along to go and watch "The circus of horrors !" I think that the reason he wanted me to go was in order to hold his hand as the programme looks horrific and not my cup of tea at all! When I declined he promptly asked my mother !
The literature states "The Circus of Horrors contains some nudity and language of an adult nature- it is not suitable for children, people of a nervous disposition, chavs or sissies!" ( He won't stand a chance!)
Adorning the front cover of the programme are several strange photographs - one of a man sitting on a little Henry the hoover sucking various body parts up the suction pipe, another with a man with the stretchiest skin, one chap who seems to have the ability to insert his whole finger through both holes of his nose sideways and one strange chap who seems to have an angle grinder aimed at his nether regions!
One question - Why ?
I only hope that they have audience participation as husband has front row seats !!!!!!
That will teach him!!

Would I get away with it ? - No probably not !
Do you ever get one of those days when you feel so cross that you could very easily threaten to wrap your bosses' manhood around his own neck in order to throttle him and save your own sanity because of his ultimate "death by delegation" ??! or is it just me ?
It's been one of those sorts of days today -the day you find out that your workload has doubled again and the number of staff you supervise has suddenly quadrupled with no extra money, support or thanks - and you find out by e-mail - how annoying is that!
You already work through your lunch break and sometimes don't even have time for a wee, you take work home and come in on your days off at the drop of a hat often at the expense of those around you.
Today has been just like this - however on a positive note I do have a job , one I do actually enjoy most of the time (!)I earn a decent wage , have a great Mum that helps me out with the kids and could not do without , a husband that will listen to me moan on about how dreadful my day has been and two great kids who when you hug have the ability to dissolve all the bad bits away and bring you back down to earth.
Bit of a moany old post today ( sorry) I am sure that tomorrow will be better, either that or my boss will be wearing the most unusual roll neck jumper ever seen!

Amazing picture
I got sent this e mail by a friend - have a go it's amazing !
1. Relax and concentrate on the 4 dots in the middle of the picture for 30 - 40 seconds.
2.Take a look at a wall near you ( smooth single coloured surface)
3.You will see a circle of light developing.
4. Start blinking your eyes a couple of times and you will see a figure emerging
5. What do you see ? More over who do you see??? !!!

Bouncing Mad !
Well it's Monday already - where do the weekends go to ? On Saturday we did the normal shopping , washing , ironing, cleaning out Daphne and Poops ( the guinea pigs) and acted as taxi drivers for the kids and their activities. I also fixed dad's lap top. Computers are infuriating things when they break down especially when you don't have a clue on how to fix them and intermittent problems are even worse. Any way some how I managed to sort it.
On Sunday we had been invited round to see our friends Liz and Tom with their kids Carl & Beth and what a great time we had ! We last saw them all back in October when funnily enough we were all holidaying in Florida -although in different places and over a slightly different 2 week time span we managed to meet up a couple of times .So this was the " re match".
We had a very tasty lunch on a beautifully decorated table complete with USA napkins and "tooters". Tom put his " conductor skills" into practice and decided that the kids would blow their tooters on his command and the adults had to "Name that tune!".
It was hysterical as the kids were laughing, dribbling and sucking in between blows and I'm not quite sure what the tune was in the end - but it didn't sound anything like what it should have done!!
Sam & Georgie then went on to the big trampoline with Beth in the garden and didn't stop bouncing until late into the evening. The weather had been glorious - they loved it.
After a "few drinks" Liz decided that it was our turn on the trampoline and what a turn she certainly gave the neighbours !! Liz was wearing a long flowing silky skirt which when she decided to do her " stand up sit down bounce double backflip" with added legs akimbo had us all screaming with laughter! I'm only sorry that I didn't capture it on camera.
I then had a go but was no where near as daring as Liz but enjoyed the experience all the same - I'm glad that I stayed on the thing and didn't end up in the neighbours garden over the fence - Liz very kindly has posted a "post bounce" photo of me on her blog which is absolutely horrific- I look like something from Psycho with demonic sideways eyes and a grimace - very attractive !
( Thanks Liz!x)
Today I have had a day off ( back to work tomorrow) so went down to the gym, rowed 2000m and ran for just under 3miles, cycled about 5 miles then walked home and ate half a packet of Haribous that I found in the fridge along with the remaining bag of bread sticks with added rosemary left over from Christmas !
On my way home I got stopped by " Nerd man"wearing a shirt, tie and tank top asking for directions . At first when he pulled over I had a sudden feeling of " He's going to show me something rather inappropriate hidden under the map book sitting on his crotch!" At this point I had already seen a large stick by the side of the road near to where he had parked and thought "Right, this will really rattle his A-Z if he does".
I gave Nerd man very detailed directions which confused him completely- so I had to repeat them all again - at one point I thought right move over and I'll drive you there myself as he wasn't listening and he obviously couldn't read a map either !
He eventually seemed to understand what I was telling him and went on his way - whether he got there or not will be one of life's mysteries.

Going back to school !
I have been talked into helping out in Georgie's class every Thursday - well more emotionally blackmailed if the truth be known !
Even before I had agreed to help out on one of my "precious days off" Georgie had told her teacher that she was certain that her Mummy would be free and had me signed up for the dreaded "Times table helper!"
I was led into the class this morning and presented in front of the teacher who was very grateful and asked "When can you start?" Try getting yourself out of that one !
My "duties" will include testing every single child in the class for one minute ( using a timer) on their times tables with a question sheet which I have to mark afterwards.
The kids will be working up to their 12 times table and will also have a series of division questions!! I only hope that I know all of the answers !! So this week I am having to swot up on my mathmatical skills!
I haven't really had to use my maths skills ( or lack of them) a great deal since I left school ( all those years ago) and definitely not " simultaneous equations , fractions ,long division, pythagoras theory ,square routes or even Pie.
Part of me is looking forward to the experience , the other part dreading being shown up by an 8yr old child genius !
Today we had a new "Brown bin" delivered after our other one "Bertie" ran away from home. I have no idea where it went or even why anyone would want our one - it was rank !
The new bin we have decided is going to be a complete piece of art work - painted with a variety of pictures and even have bells on it - Try nicking that one - neighbours !!! Any suggestions of what to paint on it will be gratefully received.
