Happy Easter!

Easter celebrations started off very early.

"Bonker" the Blackbird has continually carried on attacking all of the windows along the side of the house which are now covered in an array of muddy blackbird foot, body and head prints.

I have sat in wait to capture him on film but the minute you point a camera at him - he's off! I will eventually get a photo.

His behaviour is completely bizzare.I am trying to find a silhouette or photo of a much larger scarier bird to stick on the window, in the hope that it might scare him off.Malc has suggested a few scary birds but none of the feathered variety - he is of no help at all!

The Grand Prix started at 0615 ish, my Turkey needed to go in the oven at 0700 and the kids are always up early- especially when it started to snow !!!!

It was really exciting !!! We haven't had snow for ages and when it started to settle- it was great ! ( especially as we didn't have to go to work or travel anywhere).

By 0900 we had a family ( albeit a small one ) of muddy Snow people. We had had a series of snowball fights with the neighbours ! - Yes they were up early too in all the excitement and the kids had eaten copious amounts of chocolate. ( Georgina had given up sweets and chocolate for Lent and was making up for time ).

The rest of the family arrived at 1230 and we had lunch at 1pm.

After lunch we had the "Wii Olympics".

My 70 year old "Mad Auntie Sheila" became a very competitive Boxer, with my Mum, the bowling champion.

We had a great time!

Creating the Mii's on the Wii is also really funny. The kids loved giving us all imaginative extra features!!

The weather then changed again and within a few hours we had glorious sunshine , then rain , then sun , then hail!!

This morning the snow has all but gone but a few remnannts of the snow people remain - but "Bonker" is still very much here!!

those are spectacular snow people! I love them!

We had a Wii marathon at my brother in law's house too. My SIL's great aunt was a bowling machine! It was funny.

Amazing invention, that Wii.

checking in to say hello!! I have been reading but not commenting, sorry. my life is so crazy right now; it's all I can do to keep up with the blogs I read. I swear I will post one day soon. I'll let you know.

I love the bird story. It gets me giggling. i remember my grandpa was forever finding dead birds outside his picture window.

the funny thing is, they don't bonk each other in nature, do they?
