Friendship and Family

I've been thinking today of how very lucky I am .

I have a fantastic family and wonderful friends who I love very much . I am also lucky enough to have good health ( -apart from my still aching back !!).

Life could be so much worse and for many people sadly it is.


I found this poem which I think sums up some of my thoughts today - so Thank you Friends, Blog friends and Family for everything !

Thank you, friend, for all the things
That mean so much to me--
For concern and understanding
You give abundantly.

Thanks for listening with your heart;
For cheering me when I'm blue;
For bringing out the best in me;
And just for being you.

Thanks for in-depth conversation
That stimulates my brain;
For silly times we laugh out loud;
For things I can't explain.

For looking past my flaws and faults;
For all the time you spend;
For all the kind things that you do,
Thank you; thank you, friend.




I also received a beautiful bouquet of flowers today from Lyzzy which was a wonderful surprise - Thank you - they are lovely ! x
